The national holiday of Nossa Senhora Aparecida, celebrated on October 12, falls on Tuesday and, for many Brazilians, the day off on Monday is optional. Thus, in the state of São Paulo, 5.5 million vehicles are expected to circulate on the main roads that leave the capital of São Paulo.

In the capital, the vaccination campaign will continue normally during the four days of the holiday.
Throughout the state of São Paulo, Poupatempo posts will be closed on October 12, when Children’s Day is also celebrated.
The day before, the units will work during normal business hours, but exclusively for the RG’s joint effort.
Financial Institutions and Post Offices
According to the Brazilian Federation of Banks (Febraban), the bank branches will not provide assistance on Tuesday. The same goes for the Post Office and the Stock Exchange, which normally operate on Monday (11) and close on Tuesday (12).

Bills for water, electricity, telephone and payment book due on October 9th or 10th (Saturday and Sunday) can be paid on Monday (11). The same goes for those due on October 12th, which can be paid on Wednesday (13).
In the city of São Paulo, bus circulation on Monday (11) will be like that of a working day and on Tuesday (12) the fleet will be equivalent to that of a Saturday. Vehicle rotation is suspended on Monday.
The seven lines of CPTM (Companhia Paulista de Trens Metropolitanos) should operate more slowly. On the 11th, the interval grid will be like that of a Saturday and on the 12th, like that of a Sunday.

User service stations located at bus terminals and transfer stations will operate normally from 6:00 am to 10:00 pm. The Jabaquara, Santana, Augusta subway stations and the SPTrans central station will not open during the holiday.
