Between the months of October and November, the second edition of the training course in agroecology in the distance modality (EaD) takes place in Maricá, in the metropolitan region of Rio de Janeiro. The free course with 200 places available aims to qualify participants to produce healthy foods with agroecological practices.
The training is aimed at anyone interested, without the need for previous training in the area of agronomy or agroecology. Classes start on October 11th and run until November 26th.
Applications through online are divided into two blocks. First for residents of Maricá, until this Friday (24). Then, next week, residents of other municipalities can apply, between Monday (27) and Friday (1).
In this edition, classes are held by the digital teaching platform called Varal, with live activities. The course syllabus is divided into five modules, condensed between a basic and specific ones. Each module lasts one week and takes place between 7pm and 9pm.
The teaching material is available within the teaching platform, also free of charge. To obtain the certificate and guarantee the hours, it is necessary to participate in all modules.
The course is organized by the Cooperative of Work in Assistance to Social Companies in Agrarian Reform Settlements (Cooperar), in partnership with the Secretariat of Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries of the Municipality of Maricá.
