RJ accelerates vaccination calendar and announces gradual opening

In the city of Rio de Janeiro, the vaccination schedule starts to move faster from next week. The schedule now sets aside only one day per age, unlike the last few weeks that had two days or more for each band.

On Monday (2), the 32-year-olds begin to be vaccinated and, on Saturday (7), it will be the turn of those who are 27 years old or more. The service will be for women in the morning and men in the afternoon. The calendar for adults runs until the 18th, for the population aged 18 years.

The planning with the acceleration of the calendar is to apply the first dose in the population from 15 years old until the end of August. According to the City of Rio, the expectation is that the number of daily services will be around 60 thousand.

In a statement sent to the press, the city government stated that it is necessary for adults aged 33 or over to take advantage of the recap on Friday (30) and Saturday (31), as there are no new dates for the late first dose by hair. at least two weeks.

This Friday (30), the city hall also released details about the first stage of the plan for the gradual reopening of activities in the city, scheduled for September 2nd. The forecast is that, on the planned date, 77% of the population of Rio de Janeiro will be vaccinated with the first dose and 45% with the complete vaccination schedule – rates similar to those that marked the reopening of other countries.

The end of the restrictions will take place in three phases, until November 15, to guarantee predictability and security in the return of activities. In the kickoff, on September 2, there will be the release of events in open environments, such as the zoo, the Botanical Garden, musical presentations, samba circles and others; permission from the public with a complete vaccination schedule in the stadiums (with 50% capacity).

Also the release of the public in nightclubs, concert halls and parties in closed places with full vaccination schedule and 50% capacity. The use of masks will remain mandatory.

In addition, if epidemiological conditions are confirmed and with a strict sanitary protocol, Maracanã may once again receive public. The stadium will be able to host the Libertadores game between Flamengo and Olímpia (Paraguay) with 10% of the capacity of each sector, on August 18th.

For the event, access to the stadium will be controlled, with only fans authorized with the vaccination schedule against covid-19 completed in the 15 days prior to the date of the game, upon proof by the Connect SUS application, or negative result of an antigen test performed in up to 48 hours prior to the match, exclusively by a laboratory authorized by the organizing club of the match.
