Disband: four secretaries ask for the dismissal of the

Four managers occupying positions subordinate to the Minister of Economy, Paulo Guedes, resigned this Thursday (21). They were: special secretary of the Treasury and Budget, Bruno Funchal; Secretary of the National Treasury, Jeferson Bittencourt; Deputy Special Secretary for the Treasury and Budget, Gildenora Dantas; and deputy secretary of the National Treasury, Rafael Araujo.

The folder stated, in an official note, that the dismissals would have occurred for personal reasons. “The requests were made in order to allow for a process of transition and continuity of all commitments,” said the ministry through its advisor.

The departure of the four managers from the positions comes after the internal dispute faced by the government regarding the so-called “Auxílio Brasil”, a program that should replace Bolsa Família, has also surfaced in recent days.

The policy would be presented on Wednesday (20), but its launch was postponed about 30 minutes before the event started due to internal differences related to the value of the benefit.

The government would announce monthly installments of R$ 400 by the end of 2022, with the budget being within the Spending Ceiling up to R$ 300. The remainder would exceed the mark established by the fiscal adjustment for public investments, which generated strong reaction from the financial market, one of the sectors that revolve around the Ministry of Economy and which has a strong influence with Guedes.
