Covid’s final CPI report to be voted on 20th

The report by Covid’s Parliamentary Inquiry Commission (CPI), by Senator Renan Calheiros (MDB-AL), should be voted on by the commission’s members on October 20th. According to the president of the CPI, senator Omar Aziz (PSD-AM), this will be the closing date of the work, in case no relevant fact emerges by then.

The reading of the closing calendar was suggested this Thursday morning (30th), before the testimony of the Pocket-born businessman Otávio Fakhoury, suspected of financing the propagation of false news about the covid-19 pandemic.

According to the president, next Tuesday (5), the senators will hear Carlos Alberto Sá, owner of VTCLog, which is under investigation by the CPI on suspicion of bribery and overpricing in contracts for the transport of vaccines against the covid-19.

On Wednesday (6), one of the 12 doctors who accuse the Prevent Senior operator of pressuring its employees to use early treatment with the covid kit on their patients.

The following day (7), parliamentarians should listen to the National Supplementary Health Agency (ANS) about the case of Prevent Senior.

With this, the rapporteur will have just over a week to finalize the report, which will be presented on October 19 and voted on the following day.
