The deadline to apply for the third edition of the course “Chora, Morozov” ends next Sunday (29). It is the first totally free course on democracy and the internet exclusively aimed at content creators, with debates on contemporary topics relevant to democracy, such as access to information, combating hate speech, race and gender equality, among others.
“We want to enable influencers to produce quality conversations with their followers on any topic that comes up. We believe that with more information, willingness to listen and less sealing, we can contribute to a less toxic and more democratic digital environment”, say those responsible for the course on the project’s website.
The course lasts 32 hours distributed in 12 classes, between September 9th and October 21st, every Tuesday and Thursday, from 7pm to 10pm. There will be 24 hours of online class and eight hours of study of the topics covered in class. All classes will be held online, through the platform zoom.
To participate in the selection, it is necessary to fill out a form and wait to receive an e-mail approving the selection, between August 30th and September 3rd. In total, the course offers 40 places.
The only requirement is to produce content for the internet, such as on a Youtube channel, a page on Instagram, Twitter, TikTok, among other platforms. “The important thing is that you have an active content project on the networks, with regular posts, video production and photos.”
Selected students will compete for full scholarships for the Creators Boost course, promoted by YouPix, which works with the development and professionalization of digital content creators.
The course is an initiative of the Quid communication and mobilization laboratory for causes, a non-profit organization.
